23-Year-Old MSC Cruise Passenger Goes Overboard and Disappears: Report Surfaced

The cruise ship MSC Euribia departed from Portland Port in England after an unscheduled stop on October 22, 2023. Reports indicate that a 23-year-old tourist named Liam Jones fell overboard from the ship. The young man, who had recently gotten married, disappeared while on a seven-day Northern Europe tour cruise with his family.

Liam was last seen on board by his sister, who reported that he had texted his wife about feeling seasick just before he went missing. His wife, Sophia Mcphee, expressed devastation over the situation, stating that she has many unanswered questions. Hampshire Constabulary launched an investigation upon the ship’s return to the UK.

MSC Cruises confirmed that a passenger had gone missing during the cruise. The company expressed deep sadness over the news and extended sympathies to the family during this difficult time. Falling overboard from a cruise ship is extremely rare, with few survivors. Reports indicate that at least 10 people fell off a major cruise line ship in 2023.

The MSC Euribia is a large cruise ship with various amenities, including bars, restaurants, swimming pools, a spa, a theater, a casino, and a children’s club. The price of the seven-night Northern Europe tour on the MSC Euribia starts at $950 per person.
