Adlington Predicts Peaty’s Olympic Success: The British Swim Team Stands Strong in Paris

Adam Peaty claims bronze medal in 100m breaststroke at 2024 World Aquatics Championships

Rebecca Adlington, a double Olympic gold medallist, believes that Adam Peaty’s surprise appearance on the medal podium has been driven by his focus on getting back to his best for the Olympics. She stated that Peaty is in the perfect position to achieve this and is confident that there is enough quality in the British team to help take the pressure off him and secure “a handful of medals” in Paris.

Adlington also noted that Peaty realizes he is the poster boy of the sport, but highlighted other fantastic medallists on the British team, such as Matt Richards, Tom Dean, and Duncan Scott. She believes that these swimmers deserve more credit for their achievements and that they would be the poster boys if there wasn’t an Adam Peaty. Adlington expressed confidence in the team’s strength and believes that they are in great shape heading into the Olympics.
