The Yale Institute for Global Health (YIGH) is thrilled to announce the launch of its inaugural Global Health Symposium, taking place on Friday, April 5th, 2024 at Winslow Auditorium, situated at the Yale School of Public Health (60 College Street). The symposium aims to bring together Yale faculty, students, trainees, and administrators to explore various opportunities in global health.
During the symposium, attendees will have the chance to learn about fellowship opportunities, seed grants, and faculty networks that are available to support global health programs at Yale. Additionally, there will be discussions on how to navigate Yale’s policies in order to ensure the success of global health initiatives. This event also offers a unique opportunity for individuals to network and connect with Yale’s global health community in an informal setting.
One of the highlights of the symposium will be a keynote address from Professor Madhukar Pai, MD, Ph.D., FRSC, Inaugural Chair of the Department of Global and Public Health at McGill School of Population and Global Health, McGill University. He will be presenting on the topic of “Building Equity in Global Health: The Role for Global North Actors,” providing valuable insights and perspectives on this important aspect of global health.
Overall, the Global Health Symposium promises to be an enriching and informative event for all those interested in global health at Yale. It offers a platform for collaboration
