Minister for Information Technology and Digital Services Palanivel Thiaga Rajan read out a written speech from Chief Minister M.K. Stalin during the three-day KaniTamil 24 conference. In his speech, Mr. Stalin emphasized the importance of adapting the Tamil language to the latest technological advancements, such as artificial intelligence (AI). He stated that the State government would take measures to facilitate the release of new software in Tamil by various companies.

During the conference, which focused on “language technology” in the AI era, Mr. Stalin praised Tamil Nadu for taking the initiative in this field. He encouraged the youth to use Tamil when engaging with technology or communicating through technological services.
