Could nuclear power be making a comeback? | Business and Economy

Despite critics claiming that nuclear power is dangerous, expensive, and slow to build, many experts are touting it as a clean source of energy. Nations looking to decarbonize are increasingly turning to nuclear power, with new reactors being primarily supplied by China and Russia.

The International Atomic Energy Association predicts that global nuclear power generation will peak next year, reaching an all-time high. To meet the climate targets set out in the Paris Agreement, it is estimated that investment in nuclear power will need to more than double to $100 billion by 2030.

In other news, the European Union has pledged $8 billion to help Egypt address its financial challenges. Additionally, there is speculation about whether the United States will ban the popular app TikTok.
