Experience Delicious and Thought-Provoking Science Films at Cornell Cinema

This semester, Cornell Cinema is offering two more opportunities for students to explore science through film. The last two showings of the cinema’s “Science on Screen” initiative will showcase different aspects of science, with discussions led by experts in the field.

The first showing, titled “Particle Fever,” CLASSE, and the Future of Particle Physics, will feature post-doc Xuan Chen from the Cornell Laboratory for Accelerator-based Sciences and Education (CLASSE). This event will take place on Thursday, April 11 at 7 p.m.

The second showing, “Back to the Future” and the Future of Electric Vehicles, will be led by Eilyan Bitar, an associate Professor and David Croll Sesquicentennial Faculty Fellow in electrical and computer engineering in the College of Engineering. This event is scheduled for Wednesday, May 1 at 7 p.m.

Science on Screen® is an initiative of the Coolidge Corner Theatre in partnership with the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation. It aims to create unique pairings of current, classic, cult, and documentary films with introductions by experts from the world of science, technology, and medicine.
