From zero cost to $26.5 million annual revenue: The success story of our business launch

In 2018, Tessa “Tezza” Barton and Cole Herrmann collaborated to introduce a photo editing app called Tezza, with an aim to streamline the process of editing photos for social media enthusiasts. Rather than seeking external funding, the couple pooled their individual talents – Barton’s proficiency in photography and Herrmann’s expertise in software engineering – to develop the app. They began with offering preset filters and gradually extended to more advanced editing tools. As a result of their efforts, Tezza amassed a revenue of $26.5 million in 2023, and presently serves 2.5 million users on a monthly basis.
