Georgia Couple Braces for the Birth of Conjoined Twins with Rare Heart Condition: A Story of Love, Faith, and Hope

Community comes together to support Georgia couple expecting conjoined twins – WSB-TV Channel 2

A Georgia couple is preparing to welcome two remarkable daughters into the world in extraordinary circumstances. Matthew and Breana Dell discovered around Thanksgiving that they would be having conjoined twins, with Amelia and Elhora fused at the chest and abdomen. Doctors have determined that the girls cannot be separated due to their complete fusion of the atrium and ventricles of their hearts, which beat as one giant heart.

Breana Dell wrote about her experience, explaining that Elhora appears to be missing pulmonary arteries, meaning she won’t be able to breathe on her own. Due to these complications, it is unlikely that the twins will survive beyond delivery. However, the family has set up a GoFundMe campaign to help offset medical costs for the family during this challenging time.

Despite the devastating news, Matthew and Breana are taking comfort in their faith and believe that their daughters will return to their heavenly home and be with Jesus again upon birth. The twins are expected to arrive at Northside Hospital in March, and the couple’s loved ones are eagerly awaiting their arrival.
