Governor Gordon Hosts Mental Health Town Hall Meeting in Casper to Address Community Health Issues

Governor Mark Gordon has announced that he will be hosting a Town Hall meeting on February 13th in Casper to discuss mental health care. The meeting, which is open to the public, will take place from 1:30 to 3 pm at Casper College Wheeler Music Hall.

The purpose of the Town Hall is to hear from local communities about ongoing efforts to increase awareness of available resources and improve access to mental health care. Representatives from the executive, legislative, and judicial branches, as well as local elected officials, are encouraged to attend.

Governor Gordon has made improving access to mental health resources a priority, and recently launched an initiative called “Mental Health Roadmap” to address Wyoming’s ongoing mental health crisis. During the Town Hall, the Governor will discuss this initiative and outline steps to advance systemic behavioral health reform in Wyoming.

The Town Hall aims to foster community engagement and gather input from Casper residents. It provides an opportunity for residents to directly share their thoughts and experiences with the Governor and other officials. The goal is to identify priorities and challenges in order to improve mental health outcomes.
