Highlights, Analysis, and Results from the 2024 Mairiporã XC World Cup Elite XCC

The U23 racers hit the trails yesterday, and now it’s time for the Elites to kick off the first round of 2024 with 20 minutes of intense racing. Let’s take a look at the results and highlights from the race.

In the Elite Women’s category, Evie Richards took the top spot with a time of 20:21. She was followed closely by Rebecca Henderson in second place with a time of 20:28, just 7 seconds behind. Alessandra Keller came in third with a time of 20:30, 9 seconds behind the leader.

In the Elite Men’s category, Sam Gaze crossed the finish line first with a time of 20:17. He was followed by Luca Schwarzbauer and Martin Vidaurre Kossmann who both finished with the same time of 20:17, just behind Gaze. Victor Koretzky and Thomas Litscher rounded out the top 5 with times of 20:18 and 20:19, respectively.

The race was highly competitive, with a fierce battle for the top 5 spots in both the Elite Women’s and Men’s categories. The XCC Overall Standings will be updated based on the results of this race, so stay tuned for the latest standings.
