Jungle Bunch 2: A Toilet-Based Adventure with Deranged Beavers and Sappy Subplots

Review: The Jungle Bunch World Tour Takes Viewers on a Wild Ride with a Chaotic Beaver in This Animated Sequel

The 2017 French animation film, The Jungle Bunch, was followed by a sequel that has both its strengths and weaknesses. While the adventure is lively and takes viewers on a global journey with the forest-defending heroes, it ultimately falls short in humor and depth.

The new enemy in this film is a deranged beaver and his army of brainwashed hench-beavers who are hell-bent on deforesting the jungle. However, despite the action set pieces and toilet-based jokes that dominate the humor department, young children may find this reliance on sappy interspecies relationship subplots out of place.

The storyline of this sequel appears haphazardly put together as the beavers’ natural affinity for trees conflicts with their leader’s goal of complete deforestation. Unfortunately, the lack of depth in both plot and character development makes this addition to the series inconsequential overall.
