Memorial Health explores the sale of 112-bed nursing facility

Memorial Health, based in Marysville, Ohio, is looking to sell its 112-bed Memorial Gables Nursing Home and Rehabilitation facility in Marysville. The decision to sell came after discussions with the health system’s board of trustees regarding its future strategic direction. Hospitals nationwide are reevaluating the services they provide to ensure patients receive high-quality care across the health continuum, and Memorial Health is following suit. Memorial Gables has been facing significant financial difficulties like many other aging care communities.

Union County commissioners are assisting in the search for a new owner since the county owns the facility. Memorial Health is looking for owners who are committed to maintaining the workforce at Memorial Gables and keeping the facility focused on senior living. During the search, there will be no changes for residents or employees. Finding a new owner can take months, and once a partner is identified, there will be extensive discussions before any agreement is finalized.

Memorial Health includes Memorial Hospital in Marysville, several satellite outpatient locations, Memorial Gables Nursing Home, Memorial Medical Group with a network of 53 providers, and the Memorial Health Foundation. The health system is dedicated to providing high-quality care to patients in the community.
