Missouri Museum Breaks World Record for Most People Wearing Underwear as Hats

In St. Louis, Missouri, a museum successfully broke a Guinness World Record by gathering 355 people to wear underwear on their heads at the same time. This event took place at the City Museum and was part of the local holiday known as 314 Day, which celebrates the city’s 314 area code. The museum aimed to surpass the previous record of 270 people, which was set in Naperville, Illinois, in 2012.

For the attempt, the museum provided white briefs to the participants, and a Guinness World Records adjudicator confirmed that the record had been officially broken just after 2:30 p.m. The group of 355 people wearing underpants as hats was met with a large celebration as they achieved this feat. The museum is known for breaking records and has previously earned titles for the largest pencil, the longest seesaw, and the largest tennis racket.

Additionally, the City Museum also holds an unofficial record for the world’s largest pair of underpants, which are on display at the facility. The event was a fun and unique way for the community to come together and achieve something special.
