Panasonic and TMCC reveal cutting-edge Advanced Manufacturing Technology Center in Local News

On Tuesday morning, a new advanced manufacturing technology center was unveiled by Panasonic Energy of North America and Truckee Meadows Community College. The partnership between the two entities allows TMCC to train students at the new facility, leading to job opportunities with Panasonic Energy once students are trained.

The fast-track program offered by TMCC allows students to enter the workforce after completing just one class. This program is specifically designed to address the need for labor in Northern Nevada. Allan Swan, President of Panasonic Energy, North America, highlighted the importance of providing opportunities for individuals in the community to gain industrial experience and skills.

While students can start working with just one course, TMCC also offers a two-year program in advanced manufacturing. This longer program allows students to earn more certifications and provides the option to move on to a four-year institution to further their education.

TMCC is currently recruiting students for their summer session courses. Those interested in learning more or contacting a representative from TMCC can visit www.tmcc.edu to get more information.
