Police Issue Warning After 12 Restaurant Burglaries on Chicago’s Near North Side

A series of 12 restaurant burglaries has occurred in the Near North Side area of Chicago, prompting the police to issue a warning to local businesses. In each incident, one to three men and a woman forced their way through the patio doors of the restaurants and stole cash registers and money. The burglaries took place between January 9th and February 6th, with most of them happening in the morning hours.

Four burglaries occurred on West Kinzie Street, with two taking place on the 600 block of Orleans Street, one on the 100 block of West Kinzie Street, and one on the 100 block of West Illinois Street. Additionally, there was one burglary on North State Street and one on West Hubbard Street.

The suspects involved are believed to be between 30 and 35 years old, standing at around 5-feet-6-inches to 5-feet-8-inches tall and weighing between 160 to 170 pounds.
