Rangers proposed Thursday as the new date for the Dundee game: Philippe Clement

Philippe Clement revealed that Rangers offered to play their twice postponed game against Dundee on Thursday and jokingly said they would play “on Mars” if necessary. The match was initially postponed due to rain after a pitch inspection at Dens Park. This was the fifth postponement this season for Dundee, leading to Rangers accusing them of “negligence and unprofessionalism.” Discussions are ongoing with the SPFL about rearranging the fixture, potentially at a different venue.

Clement expressed disappointment that Dundee did not accept the option to play on Thursday or at another venue. He emphasized that Rangers’ criticism was not aimed at Dundee’s manager or players but rather at the situation as a whole. Clement mentioned the inconvenience caused to fans who traveled to watch the game on multiple occasions due to the postponements.

Despite the challenges, Clement affirmed that Rangers remain focused on winning games. He mentioned that Mohamed Diomande will miss Sunday’s match against Ross County after a minor operation but is expected to return soon. Clement stressed the importance of avoiding such situations in the future for the sake of Scottish football’s image. He reiterated Rangers’ commitment to playing wherever necessary to secure a victory and earn the three points.
