Sanger set to welcome new business complex

Construction is currently in progress near Jensen and Bethel Avenue in Sanger, where businesses like Oil Changers, a car wash, Starbucks, and Chipotle are being built. Sanger residents like Kara Lealofi are excited about the new Chipotle, although they hope it doesn’t increase traffic in the area. Mayor Pro Tem Daniel Martinez shares the excitement, especially since his daughters are big fans of Chipotle.

Many residents are hopeful that the new business complex will contribute to economic growth in Sanger. Gordon Birmingham notes the importance of job opportunities in a struggling economy, while Lealofi hopes that high school students looking to support their families will find employment in the area. Mayor Frank Gonzalez, who was re-elected with a goal of growing and strengthening Sanger, is pleased with the progress of the 23 total projects currently underway.

Mayor Gonzalez and residents like Kara Lealofi hope that as the economy thrives, so will the population of Sanger. They aim to prevent residents from seeking services and amenities in neighboring cities like Fresno or Clovis. Chipotle officials have stated that each restaurant typically brings in around 30 jobs, with the new location expected to open in the upcoming spring. The community is looking forward to the positive impact these new businesses will have on Sanger’s economy and population growth.
