SDSU Animal Science Students Share Breakthroughs at 2024 Midwest Section Meeting of the American Society of Animal Science.

“SDSU Research Showcased at the Midwest Animal Science Meeting” – The Mighty 790 KFGO

The South Dakota State University Department of Animal Science will be participating in the 2024 Midwest Section meeting of the American Society of Animal Science. This event, taking place from March 10-13 in Madison, Wisconsin, will feature the latest research and Extension projects from both students and faculty.

Graduate and undergraduate students will have the opportunity to showcase their research through oral and poster presentations during this annual conference. They will also have access to other national and international animal science research. Among the attendees are three graduating student research assistants who will be presenting the results of multi-year projects focused on various aspects of swine health.

The Midwest section of the American Society of Animal Science is comprised of several states in the U.S., including South Dakota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, and Ohio. Additionally, the Canadian provinces of Manitoba and part of Ontario are also part of this section. SDSU’s participation in this conference demonstrates their commitment to advancing the field of animal science and sharing their research with the broader community.
