Shakira’s Surprise Coachella Performance and World Tour Announcement

Shakira surprised fans at Coachella in Indio, Calif., during Bizarrap’s set with a live performance and an announcement of her upcoming world tour. The global superstar revealed that her next tour is named Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour, based on her 12th studio album of the same name, which translates to Women No Longer Cry in English. This tour will be her first since her El Dorado World Tour in 2018.

After the performance, Shakira took to Instagram to share her excitement about the tour. She expressed her eagerness to get back on stage and celebrate with her fans, encouraging them to register for pre-sale access on her upcoming dates. The singer and the Argentine producer performed two songs, including “La Fuerte” and “BZRP Music Sessions, Vol. 53,” which contain lyrics reflecting her 2022 breakup with Gerard Piqué and his new girlfriend, Clara Chia Marti.

In an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, Shakira discussed the process of creating the album and how some people on her team wanted her to change the lyrics. However, she stood true to her artistic expression and emphasized the importance of healing in one’s own way. Shakira shared that the songs on the album helped her channel her emotions and navigate through different stages of grief after her breakup.

Shakira explained that the album allowed her to express her anger, denial, and eventually reach acceptance. She highlighted the importance of going through all the stages of grief and not skipping any to fully heal and move forward. The singer’s raw honesty in her music reflects her personal journey and emotional experiences, resonating with her fans and connecting with them on a deep level.
