Stunning animal photography showcased at World Nature Photography Awards

The World Nature Photography Awards showcase stunning photos of the natural world, with winning photos selected across 14 categories including Underwater and Animal Portraits. One of the standout images was of two gannets underwater in the Shetland Islands, captured by Tracey Lund. This photo of gannets fighting over a fish earned Lund the grand prize in the contest.

The 2024 World Nature Photography Awards recently announced its winners, featuring majestic images of animals, landscapes, and natural scenes. Photographers from around the globe submitted thousands of photos for consideration, with winners chosen in categories like People and Nature, Plants and Fungi, and Animal Portraits.

In an effort to promote sustainability and raise awareness about the climate crisis, the World Nature Photography Awards team plants a tree for every photo submission received. Additionally, a tree is planted for every print sold of a winning photo. This year’s winner, Tracy Lund, received a $1,000 cash prize and the title of World Nature Photographer of the Year.
