The Texas Rangers and Bally Sports Southwest: A New Partnership Amidst Bankruptcy and Restructuring

Bally Sports Southwest and Texas Rangers Strike Deal to Air Games

The Texas Rangers and Bally Sports Southwest have reached an agreement to broadcast home and away games. Bally Sports Southwest will air 153 regular season games plus four spring training games, with the first airing on March 14. Regular season coverage begins on March 30 when the Rangers take on the Chicago Cubs at Globe Life Field.

Prior to this agreement, Diamond Sports, the parent company of Bally Sports, filed for bankruptcy protection last year. However, it was recently announced that the company would partner with Amazon as part of a restructuring agreement. This agreement was approved by a Houston judge last Friday. Despite these challenges, Diamond Sports is committed to continuing its partnership with Major League Baseball and delivering quality coverage of the Texas Rangers’ games to fans across the country.
