Tiger Woods Welcomes New Caddie Lance Bennett to the Greens at Genesis Invitational

Tiger Woods Hires Experienced Caddy for Genesis Invitational Comeback

Tiger Woods is set to debut a new caddie at the Genesis Invitational this week. According to Golfweek, veteran caddie Lance Bennett will be on Woods’ bag at Riviera. Bennett has previously caddied for Matt Kuchar, Sungjae Im, and Davis Riley, among others. Currently, Bennett works for rookie Adrien Dumont de Chassart, who is not in the field for the Genesis Invitational and is represented by the same agency as Woods, Excel Sports.

This change comes after Woods and his longtime caddie Joe LaCava mutually parted ways. LaCava has taken on a full-time bag with Patrick Cantlay. In the past, Woods’ business partner, Rob McNamara, has also caddied for him at events. The report noted that Bennett may not be a permanent solution for Woods’ bag, indicating that this may be a temporary arrangement.

Woods has had several successful partnerships with different caddies over the years. He has won numerous major championships with Steve Williams, Hank Haney, and Freddie Couples among his past partners. This new partnership with Bennett will be interesting to watch as both of them have their own unique styles and approaches to golf.
