UFL and STL officials set to make significant announcement this Thursday

The United Football League has scheduled a news conference in St. Louis at The Dome at America’s Center on Thursday morning. The league is set to announce a major event for the upcoming 2024 season, with St. Louis Mayor Tishaura Jones and Kitty Ratcliffe, President of Explore St. Louis, in attendance.

The UFL, a result of the merger between the XFL and USFL, is set to begin play on March 30. The St. Louis Battlehawks’ home opener is scheduled for April 6 against the Arlington Renegades. The Battlehawks have been a standout team in terms of attendance, leading the XFL in 2020 and setting a modern spring football attendance record last season.

Despite the strong attendance numbers in St. Louis, the UFL has not yet announced which venue will host its championship game. The XFL’s 2023 title game was held in San Antonio. Battlehawks Head Coach Anthony Becht, UFL President Russ Brandon, and Daryl Johnston, UFL Executive Vice President, will also be present at the news conference.

In addition to the news conference, the group will be at a town hall event open to the public on Thursday evening at Ballpark Village starting at 5:30 p.m. Fans and media are eagerly anticipating the UFL’s announcement and the exciting developments for the upcoming season in St. Louis.
