Addison Pierre Maalouf, also known as Yourfellowarab, is an adventurer who enjoys visiting dangerous places and meeting people that most would prefer to avoid. His recent trip took him to Haiti, where he planned to interview Jimmy Chérizier, the leader of the infamous gang “G9.” However, Maalouf’s adventure took a dangerous turn when he was kidnapped along with a Haitian colleague by gang members who are demanding a ransom of $600,000.

Reports suggest that Maalouf was abducted on March 14th, but news of his disappearance only started spreading on Maundy Thursday. In a video released by a friend of the abducted YouTuber, Maalouf is seen on a balcony in Haiti’s capital Port-au-Prince, explaining the dangers of the city that is plagued by gang violence. Despite being aware of the extreme risks, Maalouf embarked on his trip to Haiti and is now being held captive in a cage in one of the city’s eastern suburbs.

Maalouf’s followers on YouTube, numbering over 1.4 million, are anxiously awaiting updates on his situation. The YouTuber has been vocal about the dangers he faces in his adventures, acknowledging the possibility of not making it back alive. As the situation in Haiti remains precarious, Maalouf’s fate hangs in the balance, with his supporters hoping for a safe resolution to his kidnapping ordeal.
